Privacy policy

Sprout and Hive is run by Sprout And Hive. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

  • When you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile picture. We never see your Google password.
  • When you order: delivery addresses, mobile number and your order history.
  • When you ask to be told about a restock: your mobile number or email.
  • Your shopping cart, so it is still there next time.
  • How the site is used (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location), through Google Analytics.

Why we use it

Only to run the shop: to process and deliver your orders, send updates about them, answer your questions, notify you about restocks you asked for, and meet tax and legal requirements. We do not send marketing messages unless you ask for them.

Payments

Payments are handled by our payment partner. We never see or store your card, UPI or net-banking details.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share only what each partner needs to do its job:

  • Courier partners: your name, delivery address and phone number.
  • Payment partner: your order amount and contact details.
  • Google: to sign you in, and Google Analytics to measure how the site is used.
  • Our hosting and database providers, who store data on our behalf.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

Cookies and browser storage

We use one essential cookie to keep you logged in, and your browser’s storage to remember your cart before you log in. We also use Google Analytics cookies to understand which pages and toys people look at, so we can improve the shop; these do not identify you by name, and we do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

How long we keep it

Your account data is kept while your account is active. Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax laws require, even if you delete your account.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or withdraw your consent, by emailing sproutandhive@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.

Children

Our toys are for children, but the shop is for parents and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Security

Data is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and access to it is limited to the people who need it to run the shop.
